Hanoi, 13/10/2016, FTTH Council Asia Pacific organized a workshop to provide latest development in all-fiber technologies (policies, relating factors…), deployment practices, challenging, experience and technical trends of fiber-to-the-home network in Asia Pacific in general and in Vietnam in detail.
FTTH (Fiber-to-the-home) is a broadband optical service connecting to the home to provide high speed services such as Internet, triple play, etc.
FTTH Council Asia Pacific is a non-profit organization established in 2005 in Singapore. The council was built on the success of its sister organizations in the US and Europe to educate the industry and the general public on the opportunities and benefits of FTTH solutions in order to enhance the sustainable quality of life and to promote FTTH market development.
The workshops are organized annually all over the world. In 2016, workshops were organized in India, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. In Vietnam, the workshop attracted many telecommunication experts such as Vietnam Telecommunications Authority, Information and Communications Department of Hanoi, Viavi, Fujikura, COMIT Corporation, Net Nam, CommScope, VNPT, etc.

At the workshop, the delegates shared experience on new developments, technical trend in FTTH in Asia Pacific and the challenge with deploying new technologies.
