[Corporate] - How COMIT faces with Covid-19

July 21, 2020

Sars-CoV-2 epidemic has been spreading at an alarming rate on a global scale. This recent development has imposed a significant impact on business operations as well as community wellbeing. Sharing a mutual concern for the current epidemic, COMIT pledges to accompany and more importantly ensure the safety of our valued customers and partners.

Since the outbreak of Sars-CoV-2 in January 2020, we have regularly reviewed the ongoing situation and subsequently deployed three main activities as follows:

1. Implementing preventive activities including: Not only following the guidelines of the Government, COMIT implements even more strictly and more carefully than that. COMIT staffs have soon complied with our own regulations, in which wearing face mask during working in offices, meeting with customers and partners as well as on site, washing hands before coming into offices have been the musts. Customers or partners visiting our offices have been all delivered face-masks and required to wear face-mask when working within the offices. Documents, stationaries and goods in offices have also been frequently sanitarized and sterilized. An internal website providing updated information about the epidemic and guidelines for self-protection at work and at home was rapidly created. We believe that our soon and fast actions are the best way to protect our human resources, ensure our responsibility with customers and partners.

2. Emergency plans have also been quickly developped and delivered to all COMIT staff to ensure each member know how to react when emergency situations happen (ie.: office buildings are closed due to infected people). Data servers have also been migrated to data centers, cloud-based business applications have already been used in work and supervising works, working procedures have been adjusted to adapt to the situations.

3. Carrying out plans for remote working: with careful preparation, COMIT staff at offices in Hanoi started working from home in early March 2020, before Hanoi had the first Sars-CoV-2 infected case.

These action plans are also implemented in all COMIT’s oversea offices in Myanmar and Philippines. With such plans and actions in place, COMIT seeks to maintain our commitment to provide our customers and partners the best service, to minimize the risks and damages caused by the epidemic.
