TRAINING – CHANGE MY MIND

In the month of August 2019, I and some Managers got a chance to attend training in Vietnam. The training was facilitated by Mr Hong Son, our CEO and supported by BOMs. Our BOMs are well-wishers; want to provide the best quality of management, intentionally. Thus, I had no doubt upon the quality and purpose of that training. Yet I was excited that my language barrier as I know that all the training courses will be conducted by English Language.

Within a week, I attended some courses: Planning Skills, Delegation Skills, Coaching Skills and HR knowledge. It is not too easy, because I got many new things to improve my management skills. With a witty and intelligent coaching, trainer helped us learn new skills quickly. All trainees are so nice, we practiced some cases study. And through true stories at COMIT, I have had a deeper experience... During training period, I tried hard to absorb and brain storming. I decided to apply in my daily task.

During the trip to Vietnam, my colleagues welcomed us warmly and thoughtfully. Ms Huyen (HRM) invite us to her house, we had a close dinner. We did not have time to adapt with Vietnamese life, because my colleagues are friendly and so nice, we met, talked, had lunch & dinner together. We have integrated into life here.

I & other Managers had some very interesting tours. My colleagues in Vietnam took us to visit Hanoi capital and Trang An - skull island, Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh province. If Hanoi city tour made us feeling the real Vietnamese culture, life then Trang An - skull island, Bai Dinh Pagoda brought us to amazing place – a world culture and natural heritage.

We came back to Myanmar with wonderful memories not expressed by words.

To be honest, I haven’t applied full spectrum up to now. But I am practicing to show appreciation truly to everyone and every day, one of the rules of Gung Ho.

Another interesting topic is Questioning for Information (S+A=O) for me. I am weak in questioning. Coaching skill course is useful for improving my questioning skill. When I have the opportunity, I practice with my principles and colleagues.

Normally, I am relatively tough. I become slightly soft after understanding COMIT Culture.

The facts from the training is very useful not only at working environment also in the life, make me understand how our living style should be. How to plan for life, how to negotiate with others, how to delegate among family members etc.

“People are looking for someone to believe in them. Make it you.” Peter G. James Sinclair

This is one of the quotes mentioned in the training. It inspires me most.

I must try to be a credible person with honesty, openness, kindness, understanding and believing in people before they trust me is one of my New Year Resolutions for 2020.
