In July 2022, COMIT and VIAVI - the world leading manufacturer of USA in telecommunications test and measurement discussed the deployment of Optical Network Monitoring System (ONMS) at Viettel Networks. This is also a strategic tool in Viettel's digital transformation journey. In Vietnam, Viettel is the corporation with the largest fiber optic network in the country, and to successfully implement the network digital transformation process, Viettel Net has trusted to choose the ONMS system provided by COMIT and VIAVI. At the discussion, experts from COMIT and VIAVI discussed with Viettel Networks about the orientation of digital transformation of fiber optic networks and lessons on implementing ONMS at major network operators in the world.

VIAVI's ONMS system allows end-to-end monitoring of the entire optical path, used for Metro, Core, Long Haul, FTTx, PON networks... supporting 24/7 monitoring with flexible monitoring methods, identifying problems, sending notifications to managers quickly, linking to the map (fiber mapping), and allowing to manage alerts, creating professional reports and statistics.
