[Communications] - COMIT participates in the national optimization conference for Mobifone mobile network

At the end of August, COMIT engineers and VIAVI Solutions experts attended "Mobifone Company Optimization Conference" organized by Mobifone in Can Tho, Vietnam. VIAVI is the world leading provider of analysis and optimization solutions for mobile networks based on data collected from network elements and the most advanced Geolocation data processing technology.

The conference gathered nearly 90 leading Mobifone engineers from all over Vietnam: network centers (North, Central, South), Network Operation Centers (NOCs), Testing & Maintenance Centers, R&D center, network technology department, network development department, and corporate leaders. These are the most Mobifone’s senior engineers having a deep understanding of high-tech techniques and being in charge of optimizing the process according to 3 levels: L1, L2, L3 to ensure network service quality.

The theme of the conference focuses on optimization issues, automation in optimization. The conference is also a place for Mobifone technical experts to discuss topics and initiatives to deploy the optimization of Mobifone mobile network through self-developed tools, to improve workflow, to build a team, to build a unified optimization model across the network, to apply digital transformation in optimization, etc.

In this conference, VIAVI and COMIT, long-time strategic partners of Mobifone, were invited to participate as honored guests. Interspersed with presentations by Mobifone technical experts, VIAVI experts also presented in-depth assessments on technology transition trends and the effects on optimization work. The main issues pointed out by the experts include the transformation of business models (which in Vietnam is often referred to as a separate case of "digital transformation"), 5G network technology, and other technologies, new technology for RAN. In each of these issues, the concepts, the reasons for their formation, the time of their occurrence as well as the main challenges to come are also analyzed in detail. This presentation of VIAVI has attracted great attention and interest from Mobifone, and received many questions from Mobifone's leaders. At the end of the presentation, Mobifone experts also highly appreciated the sharing that VIAVI has brought.

This is the first national optimization conference for the whole mobile network that Mobifone has conducted. The conference is also expected to be an annual activity to improve network quality, consolidate and build the most elite technical force, thereby scaling the number of optimization experts across the network. With this conference, leaders of Mobifone also expressed their determination and desire to quickly bring the quality of Mobifone network to the leading position.

The conference took place successfully with quality and elaborate presentations from Mobifone technical experts and in-depth presentations from guests. In this first Mobifone national optimization conference, COMIT is also honored to be the only Vietnamese partner invited to attend and has contributed a part to the success of the conference.
