[Communications] - COMIT – A Pioneer in Developing High-Quality Human Resources for Vietnam’s Telecommunications Industry

July 22, 2025

On July 17–18, 2025, COMIT Corporation – Vietnam’s leading provider of telecommunications testing solutions and services – collaborated with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) to organize a practical training program for telecommunications engineering students. As part of a long-standing strategic partnership between COMIT and PTIT, the program aims to comprehensively develop the country’s telecom workforce by bridging academic theory with real-world industry demands.

Bridging Academic Knowledge with Industry Practice

Throughout the two-day program, COMIT’s experienced telecom experts delivered deep-dive sessions and shared the latest technological trends shaping the industry, including:

  • Deployment and quality assurance of 5G networks
  • Planning, design, and optimization of mobile radio networks
  • IP network architecture and cybersecurity
  • Real-world implementation models from major telecom operators in Vietnam and the region

In addition to technical expertise, the program focused on building professional competencies, system thinking, and practical workplace insights – all essential attributes to help PTIT students transition seamlessly into the workforce upon graduation.

Hands-On Experience with State-of-the-Art Testing Technology

One of the program's key highlights was the hands-on workshop using advanced telecommunications testing systems currently deployed by COMIT for major carriers in Vietnam. Students had the opportunity not only to observe but also to directly interact with professional-grade equipment, simulating real-life testing and network optimization scenarios. This early exposure to cutting-edge tools provided a rare and valuable opportunity to understand the operational standards of today’s telecom engineers.

Strengthening the University–Enterprise–Student Ecosystem

Beyond technical training, the program served as a vital platform for students to gain a deeper understanding of industry expectations for telecom professionals. COMIT’s experts addressed student inquiries, shared career advice, and outlined the skill sets and mindsets required to thrive in a fast-evolving sector. This open dialogue between students and industry professionals helped reinforce career clarity while also opening the door to future internships and employment opportunities for top-performing students.

At the conclusion of the program, COMIT representatives, together with Associate Professor Dr. Dang The Ngoc – representing the leadership of PTIT’s Faculty of Telecommunications 1 – visited the Australia–Vietnam Strategic Technology Center on campus. The visit reaffirmed the two institutions’ long-term commitment to enhancing academic training and jointly advancing Vietnam’s telecommunications technology ecosystem.
